eBook Agreement
Requesting
eBook Services
Authors
with completed manuscripts who need services to convert their manuscript to
an industry standard layout of minimal file size may submit an eBook
Layout Request. Authors wishing to add download sales and distribution
services through Star Quest Publishing may submit an eBook
Distribution Request. Author determines retail price. Star Quest Publishing
takes 30% on retail orders. Author will be contacted by our staff for a free
consultation to discuss custom options and identify the most cost effective
solution.
Manuscript
Author submits
final version of manuscript including all chapters and any applicable table
of contents, acknowledgement, introduction, forward, prologue, epilogue, biography,
booklist, product/service promotionals or photos. Author is responsible for
completeness and accuracy of copy before submitting manuscript. Submit manuscript
as email attachment, on rewriteable CD or 100MB/250MB zip disk as well as
manuscript hardcopy, double-spaced in Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect or
rich text as files of type .doc, .wpd or .rtf. Manuscripts will be edited
by Star Quest Publishing for spelling, grammar and punctuation to meet professional
publication standards. No editorial judgements will be imposed on content.
Authors who already submitted manscript to a professional editing service
may waive editing fees.
eBook
Layout Quotes, Proofs & Approvals
Upon review of manuscript, Star Quest Publishing sends
author a quote for eBool layout based on number of pages and optional custom
artwork along with design sample. To begin digital file prep, author will
sign quote to accept and return to Star Quest Publishing along with deposit
payment for first half of quoted fee. No design or layout changes after quote
acceptance. If Author declines quote, all rights to design and art work remain
with Star Quest Publishing. Upon acceptance, Star Quest Publishing will complete
layout and send hardcopy of the final document in finished eBook format for
author's approval. Author will perform final proofreading and may request
any editorial changes. To receive eBook file, author will sign statement to
approve final publication and return to Star Quest Publishing with payment
for balance due (2nd half of quoted fee). eBook layout generally takes two
weeks to complete.

Distribution
Download sales and distribution through Star Quest Publishing affords the Author a worldwide payment gateway, password security and pirating prevention via IP address tracking. Star Quest Publishing offers free listings of your eBook titles and a secure payment and download system accessible to a global audience . Author determines retail price. Star Quest Publishing takes 30% on retail orders. Download orders are submitted through our website with payment authorization for list price. Star Quest Publishing generates password and directs book buyer to the secure download area. At the end of each month, Star Quest Publishing pays author 70% of list price for all eBook orders to date.
Author is responsible for reading and understanding the terms
and coindtions of this agreement before submitting a service request.
